Blaine, WA: Tamerlane Ventures Inc. (TAM: TSX-V) announces today that it has signed a contract with EBA Engineering Consultants Ltd. to complete an environmental baseline study for its Pine Point lead-zinc project located in the Northwest Territories. This is being undertaken as part of the feasibility study that the Company is commencing on the property. The Company expects that the field portion of the study will commence in mid-September and be completed prior to the onset of winter conditions.
The 2005 drill programs have provided Tamerlane with sufficient samples to complete the testing of the Dense Media Separation Process on Pine Point ore. Core and large samples have also been collected to allow the testing of wear factors on the continuous miner that the Company proposes to use to mine the ore. The studies on these samples will be completed during the fall of 2005.
On behalf of the Board of Directors,
“Ross F. Burns”
President & CEO
